Engaging in the areas of life that matter the most.

About

About Us:

grey background

We offer modern, approachable, and evidence-informed occupational therapy services for babies, children, youth up to age 26, and their families in Toronto, Ontario.

We partner to maximize participation in meaningful daily activities, which are also called "occupations". The young person's and family's values, priorities, and best hopes for the future drive the approach to occupational therapy that we  create together.

We have individual sessions, groups, in-person options,  virtual care, and can sometimes accommodate home visits.

Who We Work With:

We work with those age 0-26, and their families, who are impacted by physical, neurodevelopmental, cognitive and mental health disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and/or who identify as neurodiverse.

We view young people and their families as equal partners in the occupational therapy process. Having a trusted relationship with your occupational therapist is very important. We invite potential clients to have a free 10 minute Discovery Call first, to see if our services  feel like a fit.

Our Approach:

Assessment:

We develop a plan together to assess factors that impact life participation. These can include aspects of the child (e.g. fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, cognition, attention, behaviour), family (e.g. values, preferences, routines, resources),  daily activities, and environments.

Goal Setting:

We set concrete, child- and family-driven goals together to make sure that therapy is relevant for you.

Intervention:

Your time, energy, and resources are essential for your wellbeing. So, we get straight to the point and offer modern therapies that have the most evidence for making changes in everyday life! Our interventions are personalized and tailored to your goals. We have 1:1 and group treatments.

Our Environment:

At the Clinic:

We have a welcoming facility with unique amenities to practice participation in daily activities including a kitchenette, study room, multi-sensory area, soft play gym, and rooftop terrace. Our prime location is a 5 minute walk from Davisville subway station. The building is wheelchair accessible. There are family and gender neutral washrooms available.

In the Neighbourhood:

The clinic's surrounding neighbourhood has excellent places to practice life skills during sessions including the Beltline nature trail, cross walks, a grocery store, post-office, local shops, wheelchair accessible park, sports field, transit stops, and more.

At Home:

We offer virtual care and some home visits depending on therapist availability. All sessions include strengths-based coaching to carry over learnings to your daily routines in meaningful, feasible ways.
